Nicolò Foppiani was born in Genova, Italy. He is currently a second year PhD student in physics, working on experimental neutrino physics. Previously he studied in Pisa, Italy, where he got a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in physics. In the same period he got the prestigious scholarship at Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa (Italy), being a student in the science class. He strongly believes that key values in science are cooperation and cross field interactions. For this reason he is an active member of this Harvard-wide community, encouraging the exchange of ideas between different areas of research. In the spare time, he enjoys climbing, photography, and wine tasting.
